About

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Val Wagner and I have 4 boys that keep me on my toes constantly! But it’s so much fun! Come along on our adventures, while we give you a glimpse as to what life is REALLY like on a farm…with boys! Feel free to ask questions, make comments, give suggestions, whatever may be. I’m so glad to meet you and can’t wait to tell you my story!

Want to ask a question? Feel free to contact me at wagntales@gmail.com! Can’t wait to hear from you!

  1. Happened upon your site – LOVE it. Keep up your good work! I am a farm wife with 3 kids. We are also in the logging industry – a nother natural resource under attack. And now we are having to deal with and face the politics of wolves being protected among our herds…… not fun.
    Thanks for your inspiration.

    • Thank you for visiting and for the kind comment! Please, stop back anytime! Good luck with the wolf issue, ours here this winter was deer…it’s hard to explain to those not involved how difficult some of these trials can be, but letting them see, through pictures, through blogs, through video, it all helps! Good luck, and thank YOU…for also being an inspiration to others, just like me.

  2. Hello Val Wagner,

Your posts and photos are the coolest. I grew up on an Iowa cattle/crop farm and love to follow you and the calving. We had 120 registered Angus herd – so, just love living it all vicariously through you – what a gift you give all of us.

    Kindest regards – Doug

    • Thank you for the kindest of comments! I’m more than happy to share my little piece of the planet to anyone who’s interested in reading about what we do! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
      Val

  3. I too, just happened upon your blog through my Master’s of Beef Advocacy FB. I work with Afterschool programs and so appreciate your Ag Book of the Day series. I’m always looking for new Ag books to share with programs. Love your site! Thanks!

    • Thank you! And welcome to our farm! :) I’m glad I could share some useful information with you…and if you have a suggested book or two for me, I’m all ears! Thank you, again. Val

  4. Hi Val –
I was not a farmer’s wife, but a homeschooling mother of 3 in Montana and can relate…a lot! :) I am now the Executive Director at Solano County Farm Bureau in Vacaville, California. I was wondering if I could use this post to either email out to our farmers in the county or in our newsletter that is going out this week? I would be happy to give you credit. Thank you for the good laugh this morning!
