So, during all this craziness, I actually got my Flipcam out again and shot some video of Wheat Harvest 2011. It’s not my best work, but at this point, I’m surprised it’s not just a video of me in the fetal position in the corner sucking my thumb and clicking my heels, saying, “There’s no place like home.” I think you get my point.
Enjoy!
Enjoy reading your blogs and appreciate the video. Say hi to Bossman (Mark) for me.
This is a great video! How often does your wheat lodge? Is it mostly due to the wet weather? And is the wind usually from the north… is that why it lays to the south?
Well, the wheat lodging depends on weather, conditions, etc…this year the wet weather, combined with high winds, caused the majority of our problem. The wind IS predominantly from the north/northwest, which is why it lays to the south. Thanks for the questions, Janice! I will soon have an easy tab, so you can look back through some of our other farm videos! 😉
