Miracle Monday

Today I have a special request. It’s not for myself. Well, kind of, but not really.

My mom’s best friend is in need of a liver transplant. Desperately. She’s also been a second mother to me, for most of my life.

She hasn’t had an easy life. But she handles it with a great deal of grit, determination and such a no-nonsense attitude that I’m amazed at it all. She hasn’t been healthy for a long time, but her complaints are few and far between, and she’s rebounded from setbacks that would make most people throw in the towel.

And now she’s hit another roadblock.

And so I’m asking you for help. Actually, I’m pleading. Please, take a moment to say a prayer. Can we storm the gates of heaven for a miracle? A Christmas gift for Darlene, a blessing for her and her family…and all those that know them.

And if you’d like, you can leave a note for her. I will print them off and give them to Darlene, as a way to show her that there are people across the country that are on her side, joining her in the fight, and willing to spend a moment of time in prayer for her healing.

Thank you. I know it’s a season of giving, but this time I’m asking for something in return. It isn’t much, but it can make all the difference in the world.

  1. Val,

Please let Darlene know that we are praying for her. Even though I don’t know Darlene, I know other strong women like her that give so much with little complaint, even when they are suffering. These women are truly treasures.

  2. I am praying for you, Darlene. Have been seriously sick before & know it was the prayers that pulled me thru. Lots of Love & prayers are being sent to you….and to your family.

  3. I knew as I started to read that it was Darlene… I will pray for her and all of her family & friends. The Christmas season is truly a time of miracles & giving. I pray that Darlene receive the ultimate gift of a transplant & a return to good health. She is an amazing and strong woman. God Bless… Layna & family

  4. Darlene, please dont loose your faith .Stay strong and know that people who do not know you care .
We lost our son to cancer two years ago .He left behind a wife and two daughters and was only in his early thirties . His last words to us were ,’ Dont loose your faith because I havent . ” We hold on to that and trust in Our Lord no matter what and I pray that for you also .Look to Him

  5. Praying for a liver transplant to happen soon for Darlene. I had a kidney transplant 11 years ago and had to be on the waiting list before that. I know what a miracle it is to receive the “gift of life” and am praying that today Darlene will receive that gift.
